Fuel Saving Tips:

  • Keep tyre pressures to recommended rating. This rating can be found on your tyre placard, usually located on the drivers door, if not check your manual.
  • Minimise small trips to the shops, try getting more jobs done with every trip.
  • Avoid heavy acceleration and heavy braking.
  • Switch off the a/c when you don't really need it.
  • Avoid using E10 ethanol petrol when not recommended
  • Unload in-frequently used items from the car like golf clubs, roof racks and other heavy items.
  • Blocked air filters, worn spark plugs and dirty fuel, will all cost you in the long run, a service & tune replaces these wearable items and keeps your car as efficient as possible.
  • Buy the right car to suit your needs. eg. if you don't need a 4wd size vehicle, then you can save fuel by buying a smaller vehicle. Horses for courses as they say.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Maintain a regular servicing schedule as it will lower the chances of breaking down which involves towing costs etc. It will also keep serviceable parts in better condition which will lengthen their life.
  • Tyre pressures as mentioned above will sustain a better tyre lifespan, as well as safety when braking and cornering.
  • Do weekly checks of oil and coolant levels, if they are low, bring your car into the workshop for us to checkout. Low levels indicate a leak. If you are unsure about levels we can help you out.
  • If your car is older and has high kilometers, treat it differently to a new car. Everything wears with time and use, and will become more prone to breakdown.
